In recent times we have seen controversies breaking time and again on Vikram Sampath’s book on V.D. Savarkar. What’s so strange about this book that lands it into controversies? How does it manage to ruffle up so many feathers?
Well, for one thing, it’s about Veer Savarkar! Obviously, a lot of people with vested interests, do not want anything even close to the truth about Savarkar being published. Besides Sampath has been able to present a very impartial picture of the man and his times, which is again almost absent in the so-called historians today. It hurts them both politically and intellectually!
